A vibrant etching with applied pouchoir on Arches paper depicting an abstract composition, 1981. Terence David La Noue is an American artist, known for Non objective iconic assemblage, sculpture. He was born in Hammond, Indiana. The Zolla Lieberman Gallery in Chicago held an exhibition of his work in Spring, 1998. The works are titled with exotic places the artist has visited such as Kyoto Falls and the China Sea. His painting with clotted surfaces, pitting and scratches appears spontaneous and accidental. It is in fact the result of years of work and is elaborate cast reliefs of layers of acrylic paint, formed in sculpture molds and then merged with canvases.
