Set in a beautiful heavy black contemporary frame, approximate unwrapped weight 6.5kg.
Distinctly signed on the front and also inscribed verso by the known Czech artist Joseph Dubiel Von LeRach.
Subject "Composition of Figures".
Circa 21st century.
About the artist Josef Dubiel von LeRach (born 1951) is a Czech painter and illustrator and author of over twenty books. He studied under Professor J. Olik and at the Prague Academy of Art.
He uses many different styles, mediums, and techniques. A member of the Union of Visual Artists of the Czech Republic, his work has featured on a national postage stamp with the Prime Minister and his work is displayed in several government buildings.
Cubism is an early-20th-century avant-garde art movement that revolutionized European painting and sculpture, and inspired related movements in music, literature and architecture. In Cubist artwork, objects are analyzed, broken up and reassembled in an abstracted form—instead of depicting objects from a single viewpoint, the artist depicts the subject from a multitude of viewpoints to represent the subject in a greater context. Cubism has been considered the most influential art movement of the 20th century.
