Louis Kramer opened his firm in New York City in 1943 and made a range of variously priced costume jewelry for the following 30 years. Kramer designed pieces decorated with textured glass, crystal beds, colored pearls, and even plastics. Most Kramer pieces are abstract in design, but there is a limited number of jewelry pieces resembling animals, insects, flowers and crowns.
