mahogany case with gilded rope frames, brass 8-day weight-driven movement, movement and dial are signed, case is stamped "47, 72, M.C.I.P." (Massachusetts Correctional Institute Plymouth), the "72" for 1972, the 47 would be the 47th clock that year
42 x 10 1/2 x 4 inches

Note: Elmer O. Stennes was paroled in January, 1972; it's likely this is one of his last prison made cases.

Condition

Case in overall excellent condition, retains the original dial, hands, tablets, weight and acorn finial, functions properly (15-minute test).
