Bill Elliott is, without question, one of the finest wildlife artists in America today. His ability to portray an animal in its natural environment, while capturing the mood, spirit and feeling of the outdoors is phenomenal.
To portray each creature in as realistic a manner as possible, Bill travels to all parts of the United States and Canada to study them in their natural settings. During 1966 and 1968 he lived in Alaska where he painted each one of the fifty state's indigenous species. He is currently concentrating on North American big game and fresh water sports fish.
Besides painting and print making, Bill has illustrated numerous wildlife books including some of Putnam's "Animal Biography" series.
Bill Elliott, who was Bonefish & Tarpon Trust?s 2008 Artist of the Year, has illustrated a total of 38 books and has traveled to many of the most beautiful locations on earth to hunt or fish.
