Provenance
Of tapering vasiform with scalloped everted lip, the neck flanked by a pair of large and small Buddhist lions (Dashi Xiaoshi), and two pairs of sinuous dragons on the shoulder; the body elaborately-decorated on one side with a battle scene, the other side with various generals and courtiers in a pavilion setting; two additional smaller figural reserves to the neck, and shaped reserves to the body, all against a ground of birds, flowers and auspicious fruits
