Description
Riha (Die romischen Fibeln aus Augst und Kaiseraugst) type B4 with tubular spring sleeve. Bronze, 2 1/8” length of elegant form, probably for a lady’s garment. longitudinally reeded bow with a central plate splayed terminal. The hand ribbed detail is intact. The fibula is the original safety pin, used to fasten garments and serving as decorative jewelry as well.
