Description
Each of the dishes are identical. The lid repeats the various designs on the dishes. The lid is topped with a metal finial with a ring that runs through it. The dishes have ridges and flanges that fit together tightly. They have cut unglazed foot rings that reveal a refined off-white clay. The bases of the four dishes are glazed. The overall glaze is a nice white which feels very thick and smooth.
The unglazed flange on the lid and the unglazed mouth of one of the dishes have a matching Chinese character painted in black. There are no marks other than the two painted characters.
