The bernadotte collection was created by swedish prince sigvard bernadotte, and the first cutlery pieces were released in 1938. Ever since then the collection has been extended with new additions, and it remains one of the most successful and popular collaborations in the history of georg jensen. The bernadotte cake spade is made from stainless steel. Product details: mirror polished stainless steelsteel does not exist in native form but is a metal alloy manufactured mainly from iron. All stainless steel products are hand-polished, which is a rather time consuming process performed by only the most skilledcraftsmen. 18/8 (13% chromium, 10% nickel, 72% steel). Georg jensen's stainless steel home da(c)cor, tableware and cutlery are all made of this quality. The products are not dishwasher safe. We recommend that knives, bowls and serving pieces be cleaned immediately after use. Especially foods with a high acid content should be removed as it may damage and stain the surface. Acidic foods include citrus fruits, mustard, ketchup, oil and vinegar dressings, spinach, rhubarb, etc. Clean the products using warm water and a mild liquid soap.
