This very unusual pendant was made in Israel around 1986. It contains a pure silver medallion in a decorative sterling silver frame. The front of the medallion is inset with a miniature lithograph of artist Moshe Castel’s “Searchers for the Messiah” painting. The lithograph has a protective resin coating. The back reads “Everlasting Love” and depicts a stylized man and woman with interlacing arms. The design of the medallion also includes the titles & artist’s name in Hebrew. This medallion was the subject of a 1986 NYT article and is a wonderful piece of vintage Israeli wearable art. It measures approx. 1 1/4" in diameter and weighs ca. 15.7 grams.
