Description
1 Medium size 19th century "Liverpool" transfer button.
These wonderful buttons are called "Liverpool" transfers only because they resemble the type work done in Liverpool at the time, but are not necessarily created there. This example is set in a chatoyant pearl base and qualifies as a pearl button with porcelain OME (other material Embellishment) in the NBS classification. From the collection of Nikki Deal of Missouri, now Seattle WA.
Issued: DIVISION 1=PRE 1918 AND DIVISION 3 IS AFTER 1918
Dimensions: SM=Less than 3/4", Medium=3/4" to 1 1/4". Large=1 1/4" and above, extra large=1 3/4" and above
