1865 document for Charge Violation of Orders against 1st Lieutenant John P. Tinker of the 16th Wisconsin Inf. Volunteers. Occurring in September of 1864 for disobeying orders on the march from Atlanta, Ga to Savannah, Ga. for "pillaging", the indiscriminate shooting of guns for the purpose of killing hogs and other animals and also entering the houses of citizens and taking a trunk and contents away. Witnesses were 7 members of Tinker's unit
