Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Famille Rose Landscape Porcelain Garlic Vase. Potted in garlic bottle vase, bulbous lower belly, thick, with rounded shoulder, long cylindrical neck, with shrink on the neck middle to enlarge onion head shape, with slight short mouth rim, raised on short small round, with slight concaved foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base colour which contrast against famille rose design colour, depicted of sampan boat sailing over peace lishui river surround with tree, flowers bloom, rocky rock and mountain, all in salubrious landscape. Mountain is one of the eight trigrams in Feng Shui and Yi Jing. Of these Taishan is considered the most important and stones from the mountain were often placed in towns across China as a lucky charm.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
