Chinese Qing Dynasty QianLong Blue and Yellow Pomegranate Porcelain Plate. The dish plate has a broad wide central interior, rounded mouth lip, thick large, raised on correspondence footed ring base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base colour which contrast against blue colour, depicted of abundant ripe pomegranate tree with fresh foliage, sturdy branch and flowers bloom. Pomegranate is known as the fruit of happiness for its red colour and is a symbol of plentiful offspring for its many seeds, as well as good luck for one's descendants. The Daoist attribute to it the same power as the peach of immortality.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
