An antique French silver figural inkstand with mercury motif with later amber glass inserts, and silverplate bell. Stamped with the French mercury hallmark for export silver on two lids. No other hallmarks and no apparent maker's mark. The bell is silver plated and not silver and was not counted in the silver weight, neither were the inserst. Weight of silver: 750g or 24.11 troy Ounces.

Very good age-appropriate condition, with very minor surface scratches and dents.
