Art Dimensions: 30 H x 30 W inches

Framed Dimensions: 41 H x 41 W inches

ARTIST BIO:

Artist Statement: "I want to share that which I love - the beauty and majesty of the ocean playing with sand and rock.”

Born in Cincinnati, Breck followed his parents to the beaches of Malibu when he was 2 years old and has been in Southern California ever since.

At the age of 5, he received a set of oil paints for Christmas and painted his first oil painting - an old truck on a mountain with a sunset.

Always the creative, Breck designed and built his own furniture while at Orange Coast College. He entered 4 pieces into the OC Fair and won 3 Blue Ribbons. This led him to study Industrial Design at Cal State Long Beach and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art.

His creativity quickly turned to the culinary world and was a saute chef at one of Orange County's finer restaurants. Breck also built boats, cabinetry and custom windows.

After a few "non-creative" endeavors - even real estate - he bought his first camera in 2001. Opening the box with great excitement, he quickly wondered, "What are all these dials & buttons?" Completely self-taught, Breck made it his profession 18 months later and has never looked back.

"I absolutely love what I am doing."
