Henry Scott Tuke RA RWS (1858-1929) The four-masted sailing ship 'Pinmore' at anchor signed 'H. S. TUKE' l.r., inscribed 'Pinmore/J D Clink/Greenock' l.l., pencil 17.5 x 24cm; and another Steam ship pencil 5 x 13cm (2) Provenance: With Abbott & Holder, May 2000; the private collection of the late Sir Donald Cory. A label verso states the drawing was originally from a sketchbook signed with Tuke's initials and dated 1898. Condition Report: The four masted sailing ship, Pinmore at anchor: framed, 28 x 33cm Time staining with a small handling crease visible to the background in the upper left quarter. Some very light discolouration to the extreme edges. Steam ship: framed, 13.5 x 20.5cm Time staining with light cockling and some faint dirty smudges. Not examined out of glazed frames.
