This lot consists of a hand painted Ink on paper in the style of the painter Henry Ossawa Tanner.Henry Ossawa Tanner was an American painter who was a disciple of Thomas Eakins. He was the first African-American painter to receive international recognition. Tanner moved to Paris in 1891 to study but remained residing there upon seeing his success among French artistic circles.
