HERON MARTINEZ MENDOZA FOLK ART JACK O'LANTERN PUMPKIN POTTERY, MEXICAN

This fine art sculpture was made in Mexico by Heron Martinez ( Mendoza.) The Early White Period is considered by collectors to be one of the pinnacles of his work and portrays a depiction of Jack O'lantern / Pumpkin , measures 11 Inches height x 8 In. width. has light soiling on the surface (see images) however overall is in very good to excellent condition and would make a stunning gift or addition to any fine collection.

The artist is widely collected and his art is in the collections of the International Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona California and there is a gallery devoted to his art in the Folk Art Museum of Central Texas. Heron Martinz lived from 1918 to 1990 in Acatlan de Osorio in Puebla, Mexico.

Condition

Light soiling on the surface (see images) however overall is in very good to excellent condition and would make a stunning gift or addition to any fine collection.
