Biography from mosi-o-tunya.org: Selwyn Samuel Pekeur was born in South Africa in 1957. He is a visual artist who worked as a sculptor, printmaker, and painter (including oil and acrylic). Pekeur studied art at Paulus Joubert Senior Secondary in Paarl and obtained a Primary Teacher?s Diploma in Art at Dower Training College, Port Elizabeth in 1980. Influenced by his work as a primary school teacher, he explores using humour, bold colours, shapes, materials, media, and techniques.
