Biography from mosi-o-tunya.org: Selwyn Samuel Pekeur was born in South Africa in 1957. He is a visual artist who worked as a sculptor, printmaker, and painter (including oil and acrylic). Pekeur studied art at Paulus Joubert Senior Secondary in Paarl and obtained a Primary Teacher?s Diploma in Art at Dower Training College, Port Elizabeth in 1980. Influenced by his work as a primary school teacher, he explores using humour, bold colours, shapes, materials, media, and techniques. Pekeur has worked with artists such as Amos Langdown and Peter Clarke. His works have been sold at auction including at Stephan Welz & Co. in Cape Town. 31 3/4"H x 24"W(sight), 38 3/4"H x 31"W(frame)
