Description
Available here for your consideration is a group of three old bits. They are Kelly and Crockett style bits. These are all old bits, but they have had their mouthpieces highly polished. Silver mountings appear to be mostly original. Still useful, make your bid and add them to your tack room!
PROVENANCE: Earl Bridges estate. Earl was a well-known bit and spur collector and a walking encyclopedia on the history of them.
MAKER: One is marked Kelly, hallmarks on the others were hard to see.
APPROX AGE: Circa 1920s to 1950s.
SIZE: Bit measure measurement: All three mouth pieces measure 5 inches wide, and are between 5 3/4 inches to 7 3/8 inches long overall.
CONDITION: Average to good for their ages, normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
