Description
Offered here for your consideration is a Navajo ceremonial hoof rattle. The handle is the foreleg of a deer wrapped in hide and the rattles are deer hooves and strips of rawhide/leather. Attached to the bottom is a strand of horsehair and hair on hide. Navajo ceremonies, some lasting many days, are central to their culture. The rattle is an important and integral part of their ceremonies. Bid today for this unique rattle to add it to your collection!

MAKER: Unknown Navajo.
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: Measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide x 8 1/2 inches tall.
CONDITION: Average to good for its age, normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
