Available here for your consideration is a handmade Navajo textile by Nellie Begay. This handmade Navajo textile features a horizontal design of colored bands and diamond like shapes running from side to side. This textile is rendered in nice shades of brown, white and grey. Navajo weaving's (blankets and rugs) are thought to be some of the most colorful and best-made textiles produced by North American Natives. They are sought after by textile collectors and Native arts collectors alike. Consider this one for your home or office today!
PROVENANCE: Nellie traded this textile directly with Jesse Robbins for jewelry (per Jesse Robbins).
MAKER: Nellie Begay. Begay is a noted Teec Nos Pos weaver. She has been weaving for many years, and is highly regarded.
APPROX AGE: New.
SIZE: This rug measures approximately 33 1/2 inches wide x 34 3/8 inches long.
CONDITION: Good for its age, normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
