Description
Offered here for your consideration are six prehistoric stone shaft straighteners. These grooved stones were used to straighten and shape arrow shafts as they provided a platform to gently bend prepared and heated wood sticks to be used for arrow shafts that would fly accurately. They are flattened stones with a groove "pecked" in the flat surface by removing very small chips with a hammer stone. Over time, the groove becomes deeper. These are interesting pieces of prehistory that would be great in your collection!
