Item Details

Description

This antique mantle clock by Doller In Wien from Vienna is in the French Empire style and is made of the highest quality. If you look at the photos provided you will see the attention to detail within the super fine ormolu mounts as well as the nicely done enamel face. A few of the mounts depict a few Russian generals as this may have been made as a gift for someone however we are not sure. The clock dates to the first quarter of the 19th century and is without a doubt one of the more unique pieces in our sale. 24 5/8" h x 14 1/4" w x 5 3/8" d.

Condition

This clock does not have the pendulum and most likely needs to be serviced. It has some minor losses as well as two minor chips in the enamel face where the screws are put in on each side. This piece also has light surface scratches and some age cracks as well as some minor finish loss and oxidation, but otherwise good condition considering its age and use.
