Two Japanese Shibayama panels, early 20th century, in carved bone and black lacquer, each having a high relief carved flower, one is an Iris stem with leaves and a butterfly, the other is a Day Lily and bamboo, with a butterfly, each on a black lacquer panel, framed in floral carved hardwood, apparently unmarked.
Approximate dimensions: sight h. 23.75", w. 14"; frame h. 28", w. 18.25", d. 4".

Condition
Both carved flowers with chips, cracks, losses, repairs, and soil, the lily having a vertical crack in the lacquered panel and missing parts of the frame.
