Item Details

Description

Two Chinese porcelain vessels, comprising a Famille Rose brush pot, the exterior decorated with peony sprays; together with an orange ground lidded ginger jar, likely 1920s, decorated with birds and flowers including a peony tree with pairs of phoenixes, cranes, and swallows on one side and a lotus pond with ducks on the other, having a partial wax seal underneath, neither apparently marked.

Approximate dimensions: Brush Pot h. 5.5", dia. 6.5"; Ginger jar

Condition

Scattered glaze and manufacturing imperfections to both. Brush pot - drilled to be used as a planter, with soil and scuffs. Ginger jar- wear to orange enamel on finial, a line of scuffs at the shoulder from being rubbed against another object.
