A vintage Chinese jade pendant carved in the form of a pair of gourds and a bug, done in the Suzhou style. There are several loops formed by the leafy and vine details at the top and the pendant is strung on a cord. The brown braided cord is decorated with several beads at the base. This type of gourd was common in Chinese cuisine, known as a towel gourd or luffa the original bathroom loofa sponges were made from dried fibers.
