Description
Seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base supported on large petals, her right hand lowered in varada mudra and her left holding the stem of a lotus, dressed in a dhoti falling in rich pleats, a sash around her shoulders, the face with raised urna and almond shaped eyes inlaid in silver, the hair tied behind a tall tiara, and flanked by circular earrings.
Provenance: A noted private collection. German trade, acquired from the above.
Condition: Good condition with extensive wear, predominantly from centuries of worship within the culture. Signs of weathering and erosion, tiny nicks, minor losses, light scratches, and casting flaws. The bronze with a rich patina with malachite encrustations.
