Description
China. Finely carved as two water caltrops borne on a leafy stem, the edges of each fruit scrolling to form one of the numerous openworked areas allowing for suspension as a pendant, well detailed with subtle grooves and incised veins, the translucent stone of a yellow tone with pale brown shading and russet veins. Good polish.
Provenance: English trade. Acquired from an estate in Hounslow, by repute.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear and natural imperfections.
