Description

I do believe this is a rare early example of a Meeting House or Church Candle Lantern in wonderful original black Windsor paint,untouched surface and original glass. This was exhibited in the Canton, NY Historical Society on early lighting. Appox 20 inches tall. The 3 sides have very old original glazing and 2 have original black paint on the glazing and the back side also has very old I do believe dirty washed out black paint or just being dirty on the glazing for whatever reason. So yes the glass is all original in my professional opinion. I have made videos of the Lantern to show the condition better so please call me at 518 524-7815 or email me and I will send them to you. This is a wonderful Lantern.
