An antique Russian early Soviet childrens book with illustrations, Pioneers Manufacturers, Production of Inks, Pens, Pencils and Sealing Wax by Peter Orlovets for Pupil Library. Illustrations by Anatoly Andronov. Publishers illustrated cover. Publishing House of G. F. Mirimanov, 1924. Circulation of 10000 copies. Stamped with a bookplate of Gerzen Institutes Childrens Library, exlibris, and numbered inside. Pyotr Orlovets, 1872 to 1929, the pseudonym of Pyotr Petrovich Dudorev, a Russian prose writer and journalist, best known for his imitative works of the Sherlock Holmes cycle. Anatoly Fedorovich Andronov, 1869 to 1947, a painter, graphic artist. In 1884 to 1895 he studied at MUZHVZ with I. M. Pryanishnikov, E. S. Sorokin, and also at the Higher Art School at the Imperial Academy of Arts in the workshop of I. E. Repin. He worked as a landscape painter, genre painter.
