AN IMPORTANT TIBETAN BRONZE-GILT TARA DENSATIL SCHOOL
The figure is cast seated in lalitasana on a double-lotus base. Her primary right hand is raised in shunimudra and her left hand is holding a prayer bead, pair further hands flanked by sides. She is adorned with jewellery and a tiara and her shoulders are flanked by lotus stems. Her eyes are downcast and her hair is tied in a chignon, her mount also adorned with inlaid jewelry, richly gilt overall. The promotion and the decorative style shown highly possible of Densatil origin.
