Ancient Pre Columbian Jalisco Seated Female Figure With Child c. 1st cent B.C. - 2nd cent A.D. Size 7 1/4 inches high. 4 3/4 inches wide. Fine seated hollow pottery female figure, holding a child in her arms. Great example of the style, a tall headdress, big shoulders. Her bodily proportions long face, arms, large torso. Fine quality and details. Provenance: EX: Seymour collection acquired the collection in the 1970's, Ex: Estate of Leonard Davis deceased 2005, Gifted to Leonard Davis from Margaret Reisberg.
