Description
Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Timor Island, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A chieftain's disc pendant of relatively flat form made from a hammered sheet of nickel brass (also called nickel silver). The circular artifact features a spirit boat with a central figure in stippled impressions across the obverse, and a pierced central hole was perhaps for suspension. Size: 8.1" Diameter (20.6 cm)
