Ancient Near East, Islamic, ca. 10th to 13th century CE. A beautiful necklace of wearable form strung with 11 hand-built glass beads, 12 polished quartz beads, and dozens of petite spacer beads of brass and coral. Size (necklace): 16.875" L (42.9 cm); (largest bead): 0.75" W x 0.7" H (1.9 cm x 1.8 cm)
Provenance: private New York, New York, USA collection; ex-Mark and Lottie S. collection, Hartsdale, New York, USA, from the 1950s to 1960s

Condition
Wearable as shown and strung in modern times. Glass beads and quartz beads are ancient; stringing and spacer beads are modern. Minor abrasions and nicks to some beads, otherwise in great condition. Nice coloration to beadwork.
