Description
LOT of (4) character dolls. Pair of 7"-7 1/2" dolls by NIADA artist Irma Park. "Figures in Historical Costume". Wax over composite heads. "Louis XV" of France. c. 1725. "Maira Leczynska", wife of Louis XV of France. Both have mohair wigs. Pair of German/European mid 19th c. dolls. Doll dressed in yellow slicker has a papier mache shoulder head, with molded whimsical facial features. Wooden lower arms. All original clothing. Condition: minor paint loss on left hand. Doll in the dome is 6 1/2" and has a wax head, lower arms. This is supposed to be an elderly man as the Witch from Sleeping Beauty. (Doll has distinctive male features. All original, dressed as a woman.) Condition: age loss on these last two dolls as to be expected on dolls of this age. Both are mounted on wooden bases. This lot is being sold AS IS.
