This antique Chinese porcelain treasure is a porcelain cup with cover plate & under plate. The delicate bell shape cup features the famille rose motif. It displays a hand decorated garden scene of a beautifully costumed mother & child in the garden against a tree of blossoming branches with dimensional enamel flowers. Multi characters are written on the back of the cup. The base of the cup has remnants of an old brown wax seal covering six blue under glaze painted characters. The cover plate displays another garden scene of a woman a blossoming tree & four hand written black characters. An old paper label lies beneath the cover. The sturdy underplate has as slightly flared rim & is hand painted with various fruits & plants etc. Four painted characters are prominent.Cover: 3 3/8" diameter X 1" tallCup: 4" diameter X 2 1/2" tallUnderplate: 4 1/4" diameter X 1 1/4" tall
