(10) 377 cxvii (117) pp., Contemporary full brown calf, covers with triple gilt rules and embossed Greek design, recently rebacked with brown calf, raised banks with gilt thistle design in panels and gilt title, covers edge wear with outer corners repaired, hand tie headbands, binding very solid and nice condition, marbled endpapers, linen backing and hinges, recent bookplate, name of binder bottom obverse upper end leaf, a.e.g., half-title present. Lovely fore-edge painting of Tantallon Castle, set atop a rocky cliff with fishermen and a few boats on the beach of the Firth of Forth. NCBEL III, 370. Ruff 59 (see pp.49-53).
