A Chinese bronze ritual wine Gu vessel dating from the Shang dynasty. With a trumpet rim over the slender neck, decorated with four elongated blades crisply cast Taotie motif in relief. With a rich, mottled patina.
H. 12 3/8" (31.4 cm)
Provenance: Property of a Lady, acquired in Hong Kong in the late 80s/ early 90s.
