An over-complete set of Public Illumination with all issues 1-57 complete with duplicated of issues 41, 42, 43, 48, 51, 52, and 54.
Public Illumination began in 1979 as an underground art scene publication with a different theme every issue. Public Illumination is thought to be one of the longest running 'zines' in publication. With anonymous artist submissions, many prominent illustrators and writers adopted a moniker. One issue of note exhibits, what is considered to be the first known publication of Keith Haring work. Issue 13's centerfold illustrated by Haring's moniker 'Kip Herring'.
