The inscription, to the best of our ability, reads: "1st Bal 1124: state A, (without University Press imprint int p. verso)Bal notes that stanett reported copies with stems pointing down & with fronts. Bal found no such copies but this cipy has both features. Also the end papers are wove paper, not laid" then further down "collated complete"
