from owner: "Book reportedly presented to Helen Stuwart, a professor of English at Bennington College in Vermont and Rutgers in New Jersey. Helen Stuwart was a life-long friend of Cummings from the 1930s till the time of his death in 1962 who was responsible for the arrangement of Cumming's books. Purchase on ebay from a book dealer in July 2002, information unverified. Contains a hand written poem by Cummings titled "late poem" on the first free end page. (This poem was first published in the New Yorker in 1963)."
