Sterling Silver Ruby Ring, Sz. 6.75, Halo. Weight of the ring is appx. 3.80 gr. This is marked sterling and tests as sterlinG. The stone tests as ruby - the stone is a lesser quality stone with the viscous look of a low quality "promotional" ruby stone but great for a sterling ring. It is an oval cut set in a rectangular setting. The stone is appx. 7.5mm by 5.5mm. The frame around the stone sits lower and has a halo of smaller pave-set stones. It measures appx. 11.5mm down the finger and 10mm across the finger. There are stones set in the band as well goind down the upper shoulders. The band is appx. 2mm. It is marked .925 and also engraved 1.88. This was tested and does test as sterling. The ring is a pretty ring but as mentioned it is a promotional ring using lesser stones and weight in the setting so that it can be offered at an affordable price - it is not marked but it is likely an imported ring.
