ANTIQUE ROSEWOOD CASED GRAPHOSCOPE / TABLETOP STEREOVIEWER, rectangular case with dual handles, hinged outward- and upward-folding body components with metal support mechanisms, consisting of one very large upright magnifying lens faced towards a reticulated backboard/easel for viewing cabinet cards, additionally with square stereo lenses mounted in front of a stereoview card holder, the whole system having adjustable heights and angles through various hinges and clamps, having a brass plate mounted inside the base which is stamped "GRAPHOSCOPE / PATENTED / JULY 6TH 1875". American. Circa 1875. 26" LOA extended (laying flat), 15 1/4" L x 13 1/4" W base, 6" H (closed).

Condition
Excellent condition, some minor cosmetic wear especially along corners, a small repaired break to a section of CDV viewing backboard's fretwork, some light corrosion to metals especially some surface rust to the steel support rods of magnifying lens and of stereoview holder.
