Description
This cut glass white wine stem is from the American Brilliant period. It is signed by Libbey and has rock crystal cutting with a floral motif. This stem is pictured on page 234 of the book "Libbey Glass Since 1818" by Carl Fauster. Libbey made this rock crystal design to be exhibited at the 1904 St. Louis World Exposition. One was sent to the Smithsonian Institution for display in 1905. There is a monogrammed initial R for Sol Richardson, general manager and then president of Libbey Glass. The stem and base are also cut.
