One plate is miss-bound: the plate listed at the page 230 is bound at the page 236], a few page corner folds, some soiling, very good condition.

Ernest Henri Griset (1843-1907) was a French-born painter and illustrator noted for the humorous interpretations of his subjects. Many examples of Griset's work are now in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
