Original vintage advertising poster for a Ball on 9 May 1931 at the School of Fine Arts organised for the emergency fund under the patronage of the President of the Republic / Bal a la ecole des beaux-arts organise par la grande masse au profit de sa caisse de secours sous le haut patronage du presidente de la republique. Great image featuring an artist's wooden mannequin figure riding a wooden mannequin horse with the stylised text below. The Ecole des Beaux-Arts was founded in Paris in 1648 as the Academie Royale (renamed in 1863), teaching classical art styles and techniques. Artwork by Olivier Francois Rabaud; photo by Pierre Barry. Good condition, restored pinholes, minor loss, staining, backed on linen. Country of issue: France, designer: O.
