This is an amazing one-of-a-kind automaton from the 1940s in the likeness of Josephine Baker, the famous singer and subject of famous artist Paul Colin. When wound from behind, Josephine body moves to the sound of the musical tune. CONDITION: It is in all original condition, showing areas of wear due to age and use. There are some areas of paint loss and soiling. Otherwise, in all original condition with a new stand. Feature piece from the lifelong collection of Bill Howard. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong collection of Bill Howard. Condition: (Good) Dimensions: 21 1/2"
