C. 1940. Scientific Machine Co. The Spitfire is a wonderful WWII themed trade stimulator centered around the British Spitfire. The front lever controls the movements of the plane, and the knob to the right releases the "bomb" or gumball. The objective is to release the gum into the funnel as indicated by the marking "Drop bomb in funnel to sink battleship." A miss leads to the gumball falling directly into the dispenser on the bottom left corner. CONDITION: It is showing moderate scrapes and scuffs to the red painted case. The original interior shows wear from play, however the colors are still bright and the glass shows minimum loss to paint, with a replaced front control knob and keys.
